Horizon Walker’s September 23 update puts Garud at the center of the action. The new EX Vanguard arrives with a Heat-focused kit, a signature staff, affection events, and a growth-support event. Larina’s Dopamine Channel also gets a new event chapter, while a new Stigma set gives magic teams another equipment target.
Garud costs eight to deploy. Her kit is built around Heat damage, repeated responses, and staying in the fight: Eternity lets her survive a fatal blow once, enter a protected pause, and recover on the following round. She cannot make Weak Point attacks, so her value comes from her other combat tools.
Garud Brings Her Own Heat
Incinerate hits an area and applies a lasting Heat-defense reduction. Ignite lets Garud leap toward a target and attack without taking counterattacks. Phoenix Feather creates an area that moves with her and sets up additional Heat damage, while Crimson Blaze adds responses as enemies begin acting.
Her EX staff, Undying Flamefeather, boosts Magic ATK and rewards mobility skills with stacking Heat and additional-damage bonuses. The Scorching Sun EX Stigma set also supports Magic ATK and Heat. Its four pieces can drop from the new Eclipsed Behemoth Hunt, giving you a place to work toward the set.
Two Event Clocks to Keep Track Of
Larina’s Dopamine Channel Part 1 runs from the September 23 maintenance until the October 8 maintenance. Clear its stages, collect stars and event tokens, work through achievements, and use the exchange shop. Attendance rewards add another reason to check in during the event.
Garud’s growth-support event lasts longer: until October 22 at 10:00 KST. Leveling, promotion, and skill-enhancement goals fill its board, with extra rewards for completing bingo lines. Her new affection story brings five traits tied to affection levels, plus massage, bathroom, and bedroom events.
Searches, Costumes, and a Few Useful Fixes
The Garud and Undying Flamefeather searches run until October 8 at 10:00 KST, alongside reruns for Eugenia and Lumen Veritas. The previous Leah and Dawnbringer searches have ended; their banners remain briefly for checking results, without the search button.
Garud’s Phoenix’s Allure Lingerie costume comes through her season pass, and Eugenia’s Slipping Temptation is offered through a separate pack. The update also restores the Gift of the Golden Age event story in the Timeline and fixes the joystick’s first-touch response and weapon-view rotation on Steam.
