Team Carnal Instinct has announced that its latest update is available, bringing remade Wased-Heq quests, new abilities and a substantial menu overhaul. Players should reset all settings to defaults: the switch to Enhanced Inputs means many or all existing inputs and key mappings will no longer work.

The returning quests rework material from UE4, with Wased-Heq as their setting. Secret Admirer puts you between Havar and the object of his affection, Mehlva, because he needs help approaching her. Law & Order sends you after a dockside pickpocket and lets you decide her fate, while Blood Script is a murder mystery with multiple endings.

Secret Admirer and Blood Script also include new sexual encounter combinations within their quests. Completing Blood Script makes the Ritual Dagger available, a one-handed short sword that drains blood from enemies.

Voidwalk is unlocked by default and sharply increases movement speed for its duration, giving players an escape option when enemies crowd in. Blackfall delivers a jumping cone attack, while Atá’s Ritual spends health and Arcana to siphon life from nearby enemies, healing according to damage dealt. Sorcery now allows multiple spells from the same tree to be equipped simultaneously.

Menus, Graphics and Controls

The update replaces the main, pause and settings menus, along with loading, and the team plans further interface overhauls. Controller support remains a work in progress across the game, though the new menus received dedicated attention.

The graphics options now include DLSS 4, FSR and XESS support, alongside frame generation options for each. Outside combat, sprinting is now unlimited. Attacks can also be performed without stamina to prevent ignored inputs, though the patch notes warn of a high risk of punishment.

What Is Still Pending

The announcement describes the new Naga as unfinished and says this update shipped without her.

Lovense support and its options menu were also disrupted by the overhaul; the team plans to restore the menu entry in the next update or a minor patch.
