In Guardians of Eden-Embrace of the Forest, humanity’s last sanctuary depends on seven Valkyries—and you’re the priest assigned to keep them fed, sheltered, and otherwise attended to. Your duties extend to the battlefield, where placing those protectors in the right combat positions and allocating resources to strengthen them form the core of this adult tower defense game.
There’s one troubling detail in the job description: priests who care for the Valkyries seem to die within ten years. An honorable appointment, then, with a distinctly uncompetitive retirement plan.
A Sanctuary With Seven Protectors
A devastating war between the Divines and the Demons has reduced most of the world to wasteland. Eden survives under the protection of the Valkyries, whose arrangement with the church requires priests to provide food, shelter, and whatever services they need. You are the latest person chosen to uphold that bargain.
Each of the seven Valkyries has her own design, personality, animations, and voice acting. You'll care for the same characters you deploy in battle.
Divine Power Needs Supplies
Fights reward food and items that strengthen the Valkyries' divine powers. Energy left behind by defeated enemies can also be used to improve them.
You'll need to choose where each Valkyrie stands and how to spend the resources earned between battles.
Service Beyond the Battlefield
The adult premise grows out of the priest’s obligation to fulfill the Valkyries’ physical, mental, and spiritual needs. Care and service sit alongside the tower defense structure, giving the relationship between priest and protectors a sexual dimension as well as a practical one.
Content note: the Steam warning includes sexual assault, violence, bondage/BDSM, and fantasy sexual content involving nonhuman beings and tentacles. All depicted characters are stated to be over 20.
Taking Up the Appointment
Developed by Black Cat Entertainment and published by Mango Party and Mango Party News, Guardians of Eden-Embrace of the Forest released on March 7, 2024. It is a single-player Windows game with Steam Achievements, Steam Cloud, and Family Sharing support.
