Maidenfall Keep needs a commander who can handle both enemy waves and relationship commitments. Charmed Souls is an upcoming single-player roguelite bullet heaven RPG from Otterside Games, built around leading champions against the forces of evil, rescuing new allies, and getting closer to the people fighting for your cause.
That courtship will have a place in progression alongside weapons and skills. Relationships will provide additional bonuses, while gifts recovered from the battlefield and personal quests will help deepen those connections. Your military and romantic ambitions will share a supply line.
Waves, Weapons, and Divine Intervention
Fight through enemy waves and bosses, gather crafting materials, and use them to make weapons and items. Each champion also has equipment to upgrade and skills to unlock.
Goddesses will also offer powerful spells and abilities through blessings. Choosing among those blessings will shape your builds, adding divine assistance to the equipment and champion skills you develop. Apparently, commanding a keep still leaves room to ask for favors upstairs.
Rescue the Champion, Learn the Story
Rescuing champions will bring new fighters into your cause, but their involvement will extend beyond the battlefield. Each relationship will develop through listening to a hero's story, completing their quests, and giving them gifts brought back from combat.
Battles supply gifts, and stronger relationships grant bonuses. Spending time with your allies helps the keep's defenses as well as its social life.
Intimacy and a Content Note
Each champion will have unlockable, fully animated adult scenes.
Steam's content warning identifies all depicted characters as adults and lists female and male nudity, explicit sexual content, and both consensual and non-consensual sex involving fantasy characters.
Reporting for Duty in 2027
Otterside Games is developing and publishing Charmed Souls, with a Steam release planned for 2027 on Windows. The upcoming game is listed with full controller support, a keyboard-only option, and playability without timed input, alongside Steam Achievements and Steam Cloud.
A US price and an exact release date have not been announced.
