A career-ending injury sends Sunset Angels' former volleyball star into coaching, where the relationship management is almost as demanding as the training. An old friend offers him a fresh start at a sports center in Sunborn Bay. He's there to rebuild a troubled women's team, earn its trust, and prepare for a tournament, with romance and a town full of secrets competing for his time.

The furry California setting revolves around beach-town life and volleyball. Point-and-click exploration, visual novel scenes, and dating-sim systems give you several ways to spend the summer. Getting everyone onto the same court is only the beginning.

A Team With More Than Training Problems

Some players dismiss the new coach; others keep fighting among themselves. One is talented but lazy, another lacks confidence. Training choices let you work on each player's volleyball skills as you try to turn the group into a team.

The sports center has trouble beyond the lineup. Nobody wants to explain what happened to the previous coach, and rivals would like to see the place fail. Running practice won't answer every question around here.

Check the Calendar Before Making a Move

A day/night cycle, weekly calendar, and tournament countdown organize your time. Events depend on particular days and character schedules, so a little planning helps when you're balancing training with a social life.

Explore Sunborn Bay to unlock locations, meet characters, and find useful items. Quests give you jobs to follow while the tournament draws closer.

Affection Is Another Stat to Watch

Affection stats track relationships, and dialogue choices affect events and unlock scenes. You can choose your love interest without being pushed down a single required route.

Dates and adult scenes develop alongside the romance, with minigames adding further activities between practice and town visits.

One Developer, a Public Build, and a Steam Plan

Sunset Angels is the work of solo developer Anya Catfish, the artist and animator behind Catfish Studio. A public version 0.8 is already available on itch.io for Windows and Android. The Windows Steam release is planned for 2027.

The planned Steam edition includes achievements, save-anytime support, and keyboard, mouse, and touch control options. Its US price has not been announced.
