Picking a crew in Starbreed means thinking about firepower and who you want to get closer to. RegulusNSFW pairs an on-rails 3D space shooter with a dating sim: allies bring combat abilities, and taking them along builds the affinity that unlocks adult scenes. Your party selection has both tactical and decidedly personal consequences.
The flying gives those relationships a regular place in the game. You fight through stages, face a distinct boss at the end of each level, and earn upgrades and other rewards along the way. There is an arcade shooter to get through here, so an interest in the crew should come with at least some enthusiasm for shooting things.
Credits Have Several Good Uses
Your ship follows a 3D route while you deal with enemies and the level’s boss. Completing stages earns Credits that can be spent on new weapon types, ship upgrades, pinups, and other unlocks. The choice of weapons invites experimentation, while the shopping list makes room for less practical purchases. A pinup is unlikely to improve the hull, but priorities are personal.

Every recruitable ally brings one passive and one active ability. Taking someone into your party changes your combat options while raising their affinity. Higher affinity unlocks adult scenes, so the same decision shapes your loadout and your relationships.
Trying another party combination lets you test different abilities while spending time with another character. The shooter stages are part of every route through the crew's relationships.
From Rhythm to Rail Shooting
RegulusNSFW previously made the adult rhythm game SpunkStock: Music Festival. Developer updates described Starbreed as a deliberate move into 3D rail shooting, keeping a defined game loop alongside animated adult rewards. Mango Party published the Steam release on July 30, 2026.
Price, Platforms, and a Content Note
Starbreed is available for Windows and Linux and carries an Adult Only classification. The regular US price was $10.99 when checked.
Steam’s official mature-content notice includes sexual assault and non-consensual sex. The Pixel Heat editor who completed the game reports that the relevant moment is off-screen story context after defeating an opponent, rather than a depicted scene.
