Hunt and Snare sends you exploring Skiir's islands and getting acquainted with their adult anthropomorphic inhabitants. This single-player, open-world adventure mixes travel, character customization, and sexual encounters. The woods are only part of the scenery worth investigating.
Its setting has a darker background than that invitation might suggest: an oppressive dragon regime, sickness-stricken islands, and severe poverty all figure into the lore. Relationships and sexuality take a warmer direction, with consensual encounters between adult characters. The game is in Early Access, and several of its larger hunting, sailing, and equipment systems remain explicitly listed as upcoming.
Company for the Islands
Exploration connects the landscape to the cast. You lead favorite crew members on trips through mystical islands and discover unusual or rare things that can expand interactions with both your companions and the residents of Skiir’s towns and cities. Adult content is a central part of those character interactions.
The planned hunting economy would let you capture characters with a tranquilizer rifle, recruit favorites, and trade others for crowns. You would spend those crowns on equipment, ship upgrades, clothing, and gifts. These systems are still listed as upcoming.
A Character Creator With Few Modesty Settings
Character customization covers broad silhouettes and intimate details alike. Options include body shapes, tails, colors, patterns, eyes, breast sizes, nipple shapes and sizes, and genitalia. You can take your creations into the game or use them in Showroom, a separate way to access adult encounters without the surrounding adventure.
Content preferences also affect what you encounter. Fetish filters let you disable particular categories of acts or narrow the selection to a preferred one, while prey-spawning and gender-combination settings provide further control. The uncensored mode includes extensive nudity and sexual interactions involving two or more characters; an optional censored launch mode limits nudity and sexual content.
The Bigger Ship Is Still on the Drawing Board
The naval plans center on your frigate, The Unnamed. Upcoming sailing features include travel between islands, ship-to-ship battles with pirates, and duels against Dragonfire Fleet captains. Proposed ship customization would let you prioritize cannons for combat or devote more attention to crew quarters, cargo capacity, and a more impressive mess hall.
Weapon customization is also planned: interchangeable rifle parts, different ranges and ammunition capacities, cosmetic changes, and eventually bows and crossbows.
Boarding Details
Hunt and Snare lists a December 17, 2018 release date and remains in Early Access. Developed by Ruffleneck, Hare, and Drathek and published by Ruffleneck, it is available for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
It supports Steam Workshop, Steam Cloud, and some controller functions. The regular US price was $29.99 when checked.
