ButtKnight gives its returning hero two connected jobs: wipe out the underworld’s invading forces and rescue the women they have kidnapped. This single-player retro shoot-em-up sends Sir ButtKnight through swarms of monsters with weapons, items, and powerups, then ties its adult rewards to how well you play. A shining reputation apparently needs a high score to match.
The setup is straight fantasy farce. An unexpected invasion has left the kingdom in ruins and its princesses and other women in captivity, dragging the knight out of a humble retirement. Restoring peace means taking the fight to their captors, with boss battles standing between the hero and his rescues.
Weapons First, Rescues Next
Use weapons, items, and powerups to clear swarms of minions. Beating bosses frees their captives.
A High Score With Fringe Benefits
Better play unlocks more adult artwork and scenes. Your score determines the rewards after a rescue.
Content Note
The game contains male and female nudity, fantasy sexual situations, BDSM, monster themes, and non-consensual sex. Its content notice states that all characters are adults over 18.
Back on Duty on Windows and Mac
Developed by Goblin Stew and Critical Bliss and published by Critical Bliss, ButtKnight released on April 25, 2025. It is available on Steam for Windows and macOS, with full controller support, including listed DualShock and DualSense support.
Steam features include achievements, trading cards, Steam Cloud, and Family Sharing. The regular US price was $9.99.
